At first glance, this home's vaulted ceiling looked like a no-go. A standard bedroom addition would have just resulted in most of the space being unusable. 

Thanks to our brilliant architectural design team and construction team - TruPlans and CALOFT - we still made this homeowner's dream of a new bedroom a reality. 

By partially raising the roof and opting for a dormer addition, they received a bedroom that is actually functional, as well as aesthetically pleasing. Our philosophy is to make all of our additions look as if they always existed, and we definitely succeeded in that department! 

Even with the roof being modified, this dormer addition was a much more budget-friendly choice when compared to moving homes. With the risk of dropping into a new tax bracket and the kids having to acclimate to a new neighborhood and school system, opting for this high ceiling conversion was a no-brainer!
