​Check out this home's magnificent journey - from an empty high ceiling to a NEW FULL-HEIGHT BEDROOM!

​While some people like their high ceilings, this particular one just wasn't it for the homeowners. Facing the prospect of a growing family, the extra space was a priority. The good news is this - what they got was both functional AND aesthetically pleasing! 

However, you may have noticed a particular issue in the before pictures. This home's ceiling was vaulted. Building into that space without touching the ceiling would have resulted in a very cramped and uncomfortable bedroom.

The first architectural design iteration addressed this issue with a dormer addition. This would have raised the roof just enough to make the bedroom worth building and living in. That being said, there was a better answer waiting ahead.

That answer was a full-height roof raise over that open-to-below space. The price increase was marginal, but the added comfort and livability is quite frankly priceless.

The downstairs also received a massive benefit from this high ceiling remodel. Having a new ceiling in the living room vastly improves the lighting and acoustics. 

​This remodel turned out absolutely fantastic, and the homeowners are more than happy with the results.
