While this remodel doesn't fall under the category of a high ceiling conversion, it’s still a great example of the possibilities that come with creative architectural design. After all, if we can transform unused space above your head, we can also find opportunities to improve a home at ground level.
For this project, the CALOFT construction team extended the front entrance outward, creating valuable new living space and adding:
This front addition provided the homeowners with much-needed square footage while making better use of their existing property. Rather than building upward, the project expanded the home outward to create the additional rooms the homeowners needed. **The improvements didn't stop there!** The living room was also in desperate need of a glow-up -- both metaphorically and literally. Adding skylights brought much-needed natural light into the space while giving the room a brighter, more open, and luxurious feel. This project is a great reminder that there’s more than one way to transform an existing home. Sometimes the best solution is to look up, while other times, the answer is to build out.
